The 2015 Wrap Up
Between all the travel, we took a moment to breathe and look back at Tier10’s accomplishments of 2015.
2015 was definitely one for the books. We travelled to over 30 locations; created new campaigns; welcomed new clients and relationships; tried out new technology and equipment; won new awards; and got a new look. We are Tier10.
NWHDA + GTCHDA + GAADA
We decorated our shelves with several creative awards (all first-time submissions) including our first ADDY Award; two Hermes Creative Awards; two Videographer Awards; one MarCom Award and a few honorable mentions.
For the third consecutive year, Tier10 earned its spot on the list for achieving 135% growth over three years.
Tier10 was featured in an AutoNews.com article for its “Life Is Better” Honda HR-V spot (see below) for the Northern Ohio Honda Dealers Association, which tapped into the passionate fan base of the Cleveland Browns to push the Honda HR-V small crossover. We also received a media mention in NOHDA’s AutomotiveNews.com feature story for their successful regional marketing tactics.
Tier10 became a Google Premier partner and Bing Elite partner in 2015, claiming a special status as the only full-service automotive advertising agency in the world to claim this partnership with Google. We also got the opportunity to help with SmallHD’s new 702 monitor by using it, creating content, production.
Aston Martin Racing
Our video team traveled to St. Petersburg, FL and obtained full access to film the TRG-Aston Martin racing team during the Pirelli World Challenge. They managed to capture the thrill of racing and the uniquely determined spirit of GT racecar driver Christina Nielsen in under three minutes. We also submitted the video to the MarCom competition for the first time ever and won a Gold MarCom Award.
“Life Is Better” Campaign Series
We developed the “Life Is Better” campaign series to connect Honda owners and local businesses that share the same core beliefs and values with the Honda consumer. With in-market data, we built detailed profiles of Honda customers for each model and identified local businesses that aligned with the model as well.
This CR-V commercial features the 2015 Honda CR-V and Pip’s Original made-to-order doughnut shop; Next Adventure, Portland’s alternative outdoor store; and Good Coffee, a coffee shop that understands the value of hospitality.
In 2015, we also launched a branding redesign for Tier10, transitioning away from “Tier10 Marketing” as we focused more exclusively on serving the creative needs of automotive associations. In addition to our signature font and new logo, we launched our redesigned website with the intranet and ad planner in the fall.
We made investments in a new technology platform that includes the brand-new Tier10 website, corporate intranet and an association ad planner for each of our clients.
We finally completed the build on our Miami office and it looks better than ever!
On the Move
In 2016, we will be focusing on making more friends (or “strategic partnerships”), exceeding our clients’ expectations (and the industry’s), and creating awesome shit. Stay tuned.
