The new Facebook profile is drawing much attention from fans and critics. Our contention is the new profiles marks advances in web technologies that surpass anything we’ve seen before.

That said, we’d like you to explore the new interface and decide for yourself if Facebook is progressing or digressing with their latest update.

See images below. To opt-in to the new profile, follow the succeeding steps.

1.) Login to Facebook
2.) Open a new window (within the same browser)
3.) Go to http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline
4.) Scroll down, click “Get Timeline”
5.) Enjoy!!

Once you click “Get Timeline,” you’ll be up and running.

Joseph:  In my view, the new Facebook Timeline is the best improvement to date from Mark Z and his team.   With every change there is often some learning and experimenting needed to fully appreciate the value and worthiness of the change.  The boldly positioned cover photo is unique and opportunistic.  It really affords users with ability to be creative, artsy and/or much more communicative.  And isn’t that the nature and benefit of Facebook and other social media anyway?   Tim

Thanks for the note, Tim. With the news this last week that brands will now have the same format on their timelines, I’m excited to see how the best-of-the-best respond. You’re spot-on when you say the nature of Facebook (Social) is to push creative and communicative boundaries.

Cheers friend, and thanks again for stopping by!
