Lexus of Orlando unveiled the all-new 2013 ES at a launch event in the dealership’s Service Facility on September 6. Approximately 500 guests attended, including three special VIPs: Lexus-sponsored golf pro Mark O’Meara, WFTV news anchor Vanessa Echols, and longtime Lexus of Orlando spokesperson Holly Watson.
Those who attended the event were greeted by Lexus of Orlando’s Valet Team as they arrived. The guests then entered the event on a blue carpet, where they were met by the Lexus of Orlando staff in an environment of icy blue colors with candles and white palm trees. There was a live demonstration of an artist sculpting a 60” by 60” Lexus logo out of ice. Multiple food stations provided a variety of small plates, from fresh ceviche, to bruschetta, to sweet delicacies. A premium open bar provided a specialty Blue Ice Martini. Guests also enjoyed dancing along to the rhythms of a live jazz band.
VIP guests Echols, O’Meara and Watson were available for a meet-and-greet session with the other guests, as well as an autograph signing. However, the focal point of the event was the unveiling of seven 2013 ES and ES Hybrid vehicles, which were introduced by VIP guest Ms. Echols. Guests of the event got the opportunity to experience the 2013 ES vehicles firsthand, and Lexus of Orlando’s support staff was readily accessible to answer any questions or inquiries. Guests also had the option to go on a ride and drive with one of the members of the dealership’s sales staff.
As an added bonus, Lexus of Orlando’s LFA supercar was on display in the center of the showroom. Guests had the opportunity to sit inside and take a photo with the Fresh Green vehicle with Alpine interior, which provided the chance for a hands-on feel in the driver’s seat of the high-performance vehicle.
Guests were encouraged to talk about the event through social media using the hash tag #YOLOLEXUS, which was announced throughout the event by the presenters and made available on card copies on the tables. This social media process was developed with the assist of Lexus associate Michael Ludwig.
At the conclusion of the evening, the Valet Team placed a complimentary Lexus gift bag and a case of Lexus of Orlando bottled water in guests’ vehicles as they left the event.
